WELCOME HOME TO IVY HILLS RESERVE

The Colemans' home gives them freedom to focus on kids summer camp.

Ron and Mimi Coleman were ready to downsize. They had raised their four children in a five-bedroom home, but now it was just the two of them. When switching from a single family home to a condominium, the Coleman's had one priority-location.

Ron Coleman, a retired teacher and coach, is an avid golfer, hitting the links a couple times a week. He and wife Mimi, a homemaker, also wanted to be close to shopping and, most importantly, to their children and grandchildren. Ivy Hills Reserve in Newtown on the city's southeast side fit that bill perfectly.

The couple started house hunting in February 2004, and learned of the development in the newspaper. With the help of Fischer Homes representative Carol Jackson, Ron and Mimi found the Hayward Model to be exactly what they needed.

From May to September, the Colemans leave their condo for the Rainy Lake of International Falls, Minnesota, where the pair work at camp Kooch-I-Ching, a canoeing camp for children of all ages. Ron is Assistant Director in charge of Outdoor Trips. Mimi is the Office Manager. Their low-maintenance condo affords the couple the freedom to be out of town for an extended period of time. Without a lawn or landscaping to maintain, Ron and Mimi can watch young children from all over the world grow and learn through the camp experience.

Enjoying A New Community

Ron and Mimi are sure that their new home will grow with them, and they enjoy the amenities of their community. Ivy Hills Reserve has a community pool, private entrances, private garages, and is beautifully maintained. The Colemans' Hayward model includes a study and a spare bedroom for overnight stays by their grandchildren.

After a rather difficult home-selling experience, Ron and Mimi happily tell people that purchasing a Fischer Homes home is a professional, fair and well-run transaction. The process began with a newspaper advertisement, and then an impressive tour. From there bloomed the home of Ron and Mimi Coleman-a condominium that affords them the closeness to their family and the freedom to enjoy an entirely different, extended family at camp Kooch-I-Ching.

Ron says anyone thinking of buying a Fischer Homes home should know the process is like clockwork. Like he says, "If you are treated fairly and professionally, it makes things easy."
