The Fussinger family lives in their dream home, and still can't believe it.
Joe and Tanya Fussinger appreciate the beauty and spaciousness of their new home more than most. That's because they were living in Charleston, South Carolina in 1989 when Hurricane Hugo swept through. Although the couple and their baby girl made it through the disasterous storm with their health, they were left with little else. After Hugo, the young family moved back to Kentucky, Joe's home state, to start over.
Recalling that devastating experience is much easier for Joe, now that he can tell you about it from the comfort of the family's dream home in Florence, Kentucky. Joe and Tanya live in the Orleans community, with their three children-16-year-old Brittani, 12-year old Morgan and 9-year old Corey. When the couple came across the Orleans subdivision and the Jefferson model home, they fell in love.

At first, they weren't sure they could afford the new home, but Fischer Homes representative Ken Dippel made the process painless. He provided the expertise the family needed to make the move from a tiny three-bedroom, one-bath home into their gorgeous new dream home. The Fussingers' new residence has four bedrooms, two full baths, two half baths, a sitting room, a study, and a finished basement. Orleans' pristine southern style setting and the gorgeous stocked fishing pond in the Fussingers' back yard make it a perfect setting for an active family lifestyle.
Enjoying A New Community
On any given day, Corey Fussinger can be found playing baseball at the adjacent Orleans park. Both of the girls run track for nearby Ryle High School, although Morgan currently attends Gray Middle school. In his free time, Joe plays golf at one of several nearby courses. Tanya has turned the study into a home office, where the busy mother of three has been known to find a little peace and quiet from time to time.
The family holds season tickets to the Bengals' games, and they love that the stadium is only a 10-minute drive from their home. There are plenty of neighborhood events to enjoy. One of Joe's favorites is the annual "House Crawl." The children gather at one house, while the parents walk from house to house to see what home improvements their neighbors have been working on. Hiking trails, convenient local shopping and close proximity to the airport make this Florence, Kentucky community an ideal place build a dream home.
