Westfield is located in western Hamilton County. It is bordered to the east by Noblesville and the south by Carmel, to the west is Zionsville. U.S Route 31 is the main highway through the city. It is located a short nine miles from I-465 and 20 miles from downtown Indianapolis.

The rapid population growth has allowed the city to renovate historic downtown, Westfield. The city is now bustling with local shops and eateries surrounded by historic architecture.

Attractions

In 2014, the city opened the country’s largest youth sports complex, Grand Park. It features 26 baseballs and softball diamond and 31 multipurpose fields. The indoor complex, which opened in 2016, features full-size multipurpose fields and 8 basketball courts. Two of the courts, named after the NBA’s Indiana Pacers are NBA-regulated.

Grand Park also features a 10-mile pedestrian/bicycle trail including the largest trailhead on the Monon Corridor. Since opening the campus has hosted several national events including the Little League World Series and the Great Lakes Regional Tournament. In 2017, Westfield signed a 10-year contract with the NFL’s Indianapolis Colts for their annual training camp.

The Monon Trail, which connects to Grand Park, is a trailhead located entirely within the state of Indiana. In the 1980s, it was a popular railroad line connecting the cities of Chicago and Indianapolis. In Indianapolis, the trail consists of over 18 miles running through Hamilton to Marion counties. Today, the trail is a shared-use path complete with trailheads, park amenities, and local attractions.
