At The Fischer Group, building communities means more than building homes. It means investing in the people, families and neighborhoods that make our communities stronger. This fall, associates across The Fischer Group brought that commitment to life during our inaugural Building Better Communities Week, contributing 2,500 hours of service alongside 18 nonprofit organizations across 10 communities.
A Commitment to the Communities Where We Live and Work
We believe strong communities are built when people come together to support one another. Through our inaugural Building Better Communities Week, associates had the opportunity to put that belief into action, working alongside nonprofit partners to address needs in the communities where we live and work.
From providing food and essential items to supporting housing projects for veterans and families, each project reflected a shared commitment to helping people thrive. The work looked different in every community, but the purpose was the same: to make a meaningful difference for the people who call these places home.
Making an Impact Together
Across 10 communities, our associates contributed 2,500 hours of service. A few examples of what that looked like:
- Supporting local families: Associates packaged 2,750 meals, packed 2,000 food boxes and 750 snack boxes for seniors, and helped provide meals for 2,200 families.
- Meeting essential needs: Teams processed 1,200 donated household and essential items and prepared clothing and shoes expected to generate nearly $45,000 for a partner organization. Associates also built and organized shelving to make donated goods easier to shop and help increase sales.
- Helping build places to call home: Teams installed engineered wood siding on tiny homes for veterans and participated in a Habitat for Humanity Women Build in Dayton. Associates also helped clean and maintain partner facilities.
Each effort supported a different need, but together, they reflect what can happen when people share a commitment to something bigger than themselves.
The People Behind the Purpose
Our associates are at the heart of The Fischer Group. Their willingness to give their time, work alongside others and support the communities where they live and work reflects the culture we strive to build every day.
Building Better Communities Week also gave us the opportunity to strengthen relationships with nonprofit organizations that make a difference year-round. We are grateful to these partners for the work they do and for welcoming our teams as part of their efforts.
We know that building strong communities takes continued investment and collaboration. By working together, we can help support the resources, housing and services that allow individuals and families to thrive.
Looking Ahead
Our first Building Better Communities Week was an important milestone, and we look forward to building on that momentum. Planning is already underway for 2027, when we hope to expand our impact and continue strengthening the communities where we build.
For The Fischer Group, building better communities is an ongoing commitment, reflected in the work we do and the people who make it possible. We are proud of what our associates accomplished together and look forward to finding new ways to make a difference in the years ahead.
